Dr. Jose A. Cancelas, MD, PhD, Scientific Advisory Board

Jose is a physician scientist with over 30 years of experience in leading blood stem cell and transfusion medicine research and blood banking practices.  He is a Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Hoxworth Blood Center at the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center, the Director of Translational Core Laboratories, and Leader of the Stem Cell Program, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  Funded by the US National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and many private foundations and corporations throughout his career, he has over 190 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of hematopoietic cell signaling, transfusion medicine and cellular therapies.  In particular, Jose leads the development of new blood and cell therapy products with augmented efficacy and/or safety profiles in the areas of transfusion, stem cell transplantation and immunotherapies, important focus of Mogling Bio’s product development.
